MRC 2008 Adult Learn to Row

If you're looking for a summer cross-training opportunity or just interested in trying a new sport, the Minneapolis Rowing Club is the place to be. Sign up for a Learn to Row session and then join MRC’s novice rowing program for a summer of expertly coached practices

Rowing combines strength (upper body and yes, legs, too!), endurance, and balance in a challenging aerobic workout. Choose one of six sessions of classes. Each session includes eight classes with the last one being a fun 'Crab 'n Sky' regatta. New this year is a midday session, on Tuesday and Thursday from 11am until 1pm.

  • SESSION 1: 11am to 1pm Tues & Thurs, May 6, 8,13, 15, 20, 22, 27 and last class meets Thurs May 29 6-8 pm for Crab 'n Sky regatta
  • SESSION 2: 5-7pm Mon & Wed, and Sat 10-12pm, May 7, 10, 12, 14, 19, 21, 28 and last class meets Sat May31 10-12am for Crab 'n Sky regatta
  • SESSION 3: 6-8pm Mon & Wed, and Sat 10-12pm, May 7, 10, 12, 14, 19, 21, 28 and last class meets Sat May31 10-12am for Crab 'n Sky regatta
  • SESSION 4: 5-7pm Tues/Thurs, and Sat 10-12pm, May 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27 and last class meets Thurs May 29 6-8 pm for Crab 'n Sky regatta
  • SESSION 5: 6-8pm Tues/Thurs, and Sat 10-12pm, May 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27 and last class meets Thurs May 29 6-8 pm for Crab 'n Sky regatta
  • SESSION 6: 6-8pm Mon/Wed, and Sat 10-12pm, June 2, 4, 7, 9, 11, 16, 18 and last class meets Sat June 21 10-12am for Crab 'n Sky regatta

    Cost is $175 plus a registration fee of about $12. After completing a Learn to Row session, students are invited to join the Minneapolis Rowing Club and row for the remainder of the summer with the Novice Program at a reduced membership rate of $200.
